so many thoughts in my mind, but i muz blog abt our wonderful bball match today! i shall blog this whole post in purple in glory of SBS! lol..
SBS bball gals rockz big time! we finally entered the finals of ISG and despite getting silver, we are all very contended.
it was an easy semis against CEE (finally revenged!), but to our surprise, our opponent in the finals is HSS instead of NIE. HSS is really strong, bcoz cheryl poon came down and they have 2 more IVPs. but ISG rules only cap 1 IVP per team and national player is not considered IVP.. i find it kinda stupid, coz nationals is confirm as strong, if not stronger than IVP. they shld juz cap 1 IVP/Nationals per team.
so we went in with an attitude tt silver is gd enough for us, coz we have no IVP at all. we only have VIP, no IVP (right shuling? lol. inside joke..) we juz wanna play a friendly and nice match. to our surprise, we led all the way until the start of the 4th quarter. with 10 secs left in the match, we were trailing by juz 3 pts. so exciting! but couldnt run into space to find a good look at the basket. in the end, we lost by 5pts..
but we really enjoyed the game and i thought we played really well. yinyue was on fire and the 2 consecutive 3 pointers by me and shuling were really superb. xinying's guarding skills on cheryl were really good and huizhi really put in her all despite her knee probs.
they had cheryl poon and 1 IVP on the court eveytime. i think our teamwork totally matched their individual skills! teamwork was awesome and i will really miss this kind of feeling. i guess there will be v few chances for us to play together again in an official match like this. it was a wonderful ending to our 3 yrs in SBS..
from 4th in yr 1, to 3rd in yr 2, and finally 2nd in yr 3!
thanks to all my wonderful teammates!! shuling, yinyue, xinying, huizhi, aileen! and to all others who came down to help for the other matches. ur were awesome. and of coz the supporters for the motivation and cheers! =)
oh did i mention tt they gt professional referees to come down for the 3rd/4th and finals matches.. and so qiao, they were our referees from north division during anderson sec times.. i still remember them.. the fat fat uncle is still so cute.. lol..
anw i hope i dun suffer from concussion after my head hit the ground juz now. haha. i think i really too light.. juz now gt hit by cheryl den i went flying to the ground. (ok maybe abit exaggerated. lol) hit the back of my head and it was really quite painful at tt pt of time. but luckily no serious after-effects..
i m so happy now! yet at the same time sianz. but i am happy! yeah... =)
