i m finally blogging! after many attempts by friends to ask me to. so many things to update! shall juz do a short summary for everything, if not it will end up a super long post.
16th jan
captain's ball finals! sadly, history repeated itself and we lost to NIE again, two yrs running. but it was a well fought match. really proud of our players. and i was honoured to be man-marked by jean (ivp for both netball and bball!). they realised our strategy (with me as the main shooter) not long after the match started. so i had to try really hard to run into free space, which was tough bcoz they are juz so atheletic! endless stamina and energy. so i gt 2 silvers (bball and captain's ball) and 1 bronze (netball) for ISG this yr. nt tt bad, but still din manage to obtain a gold. haiz.
17th jan
anderson homecoming! went back to anderson sec for alumni gathering cum opening of the indoor sports hall. played bball with juniors and felt so old! xinying intro-ed me to her sis and this was wat she said, "she is my senior, she is 6yrs older than u". omg! i feel so old.. but the girls are zai, they are national champs. had dinner with my gfs and it was so funny! keep laughing and laughing..
cny is one of my fav festivals of the year. thou i dunhaf any relatives in spore for me to go 拜年, but i love the atmosphere and of coz the mahjong! lol.. but i wld love to have more ang bows too (only 6 for now).. to date, i've had 6 mj sessions! i know it sounds crazy but it's cny! tml gonna have another one and i will update again on my overall winnings at the end of cny. lol.
ystd had reunion dinner with my uni mates. 麻辣火锅 at sin ming. it's air-conditioned and alacarte form of ordering. much like the one at shaw building, but better. the most exotic dish they have there is pig's brain! it's one of my fav, but ever since there was some disease a long time back, it's getting more and more diff to find pig's brain. not even found in markets now. really love them when my mum cooks it with bak kut teh last time.
today was a v eventful day! went prawning with jee peng at the bishan prawning place. $10 per hour per rod for 3hrs. we shared one rod coz it was my first time there. when he was explaining to me the techniques for prawning, we caught our first prawn! super fast, not even a minute i think. soon after, i caught one too! our original spot and maybe luck, were pretty good. ard 2hrs later, it started to rain, so we shifted under the shelter and since then, we only caught less than 5 i think. in total, we got ard 15 and jee peng was saying it's quite disappointing. maybe bcoz there were too many ppl. next time muz choose those ulu timing go. there was this v interesting couple who looked really stern throughout the entire prawning process. they gt no expression at all and they dun talk to each other. jee peng was saying maybe the prawns are gonna be their food for the entire wk, tts y so serious. lol! so funny la. but it was really fun experience, much more entertaining than fishing. i brought all the prawns home. next time shld try cooking them there, shld be really fresh and nice.
after tt, we went kpool at amk. he is quite zai at pool! i think i need more training. lol. but at least i learnt how to break today! quite an achievement. last time everytime i break, the balls juz wun move. and i learnt abit of aiming. so he's my teacher for the day, both at prawning and pooling. 名师出高徒啊! thanz for all the treats man! it was v gentleman of u. =)
my sis bf juz told me mid march gt man u vs liverpool! big match and they are thinking of going man u bar to watch. i think it will be pretty fun. looking forward to it..
i really gotta start studying next wk, at least abit. and cut down on mj. this time i am serious. lol. if not no time to study for patho, viro and tcm. alot of quiz and exam coming up.
