this sem is gonna be pretty bad. all the modules are tough and din do particularly well for all the quiz except viro. 各家学说 quiz was really really bad.. think it's the worst quiz i've ever done (maybe comparable to pharmaco).. out of 5 open-ended que, i am only confident with 2. and i only wrote 2 lines for the last que, when one que is like 20 marks. tts how bad it is. i hope i can pass. haiz.. dunnoe wats with me this sem. no motivation to study and cant really concentrate. maybe coz i kinda gave up on my 1st class hope. went to do some calculations and i needa get all A or A- to reach tt. kinda impossible after the stupid 各家学说 quiz and the THICK patho book tt lies ahead. okays heck! juz do my best and let things be. after all, my aim is to be a good physician, not a study pro! the real examination starts when i start seeing patients and as the teachers always say, "an A student wun necessarily be an A physician". lol. juz trying to comfort myself here.
sad things aside, many happy things happened too! celebrated my mum's bdae in advance on sat. went to M hotel to have steamboat. nice! i love their prawns and durian puree. and they participated in the Earth hour event, so it was kinda cool. it was so hilarious when my sis bf added too much milk into his tea, coz it's hard to decipher the colour in the dim lighting. lol! so much fun eating as a family. can see tt my mum enjoyed herself too! =)
ystd went to malaysia with libin, huijie and her french bf. drove in to pump petrol and had delicious seafood! crayfish is the best dish there. yummy! no wonder libin is always craving for it. hahaz. huijie and her guy are so cute together! they like to carry out "intellectual" talks. lol. had lotsa fun.. tt libin keeps thinking i am smoking her when i am really telling the truth. i look so sincere, dun i? lol..
tt day bball was not bad. but eric super off form coz he is sick! seems quite bad, hope he recovers soon. lol. i guess there will be no more bball until after exams. tt day while resting at the court, i was thinking how much i will miss bball when i go to china. heard tt there are no bball courts anywhere near. so i suppose such a sight of vibrant bball-ing will be rare. sadz.
back to studying. haiz. cant wait for the 23rd.

played bball ystd with the sbs bball gang. super tiring but it was fun! dinner session after tt was super funny too. listening to them gossip abt all kinds of ppl and eric really makes a good comedy actor! whatever he acts out is like super funny. v contrasting thou. he potrays this cool cool look but is so amusing at times and he is so serious at work. i want to learn canto! someone teach me. lol.
today met shimin and kel for dinner at jp. went to lai lai to eat beef noodles! finally some taiwan food.. kel crazily ordered 4 side dishes when there are only 3 of us.. on top of tt, we stil ordered one main course each. chit-chatted and did some catching up. quite long nv meet le.
after tt, we went "ji de chi" to eat dessert. i think we muz be too full to think straight. so full and yet we decided to eat desserts. lol. shared durian pomeolo and sesame paste. the durian pomeolo really quite nice. but sinful! kel is still so lame! we spent more time laughing than eating. laughed until shimin thinks she gt indigestion. lol. reminded me of the anderson days when we kept laughing too for no reason. it's so stress-relieving! i miss my sec school days!!
anw champions league quarterfinals draw is out! man u vs porto! liverpool vs chelsea.. v gd draw.. lol. all the way!

i gt a new laptop! asus f8Vr maroon colour.. part of my survival kit in china.. lol. my mum was saying muz put the whole family with super smiley faces as the wallpaper.. felt a tiny bit sad when she said tt..
so IT fair was really crowded. i went on fri with friends to check out the various options first. collected all the brochures and brought home for my sis bf (IT pro) reference. after IT fair, went for dinner and then dessert at swensens. sok ling told us a loophole abt "earthquake".. it's chaeaper to order 2 "topless five" with toppings instead. u'll get 2 additional scoopes too. had lotsa fun chit-chatting with them. laugh until literally stomach pain.
today went IT fair again to get the laptop. this time was much better coz we already decided on the one to get so we went straight to the booth. got a pretty good discounted price coz shuling and shixuan oso bought the same laptop. the specs are quite good, juz tt it's a little heavy. support taiwan brand!! lol..
ystd went to play mj with jeep, ivy and yj.. and i gamed a 地胡! woah.. my first time. really nice tiles. i was waiting for 东 or 八筒. and the first tile jeep threw was 东. shiok! so now, for all the special combinations, i only gamed 大三元 and 地胡 before. gambatte. lol.
after tt went to watch man u vs liverpool match at the new man u bar at clarke quay. was there with sis, her bf and their friends. we stood for the whole match coz it was too crowded. juz wanted to experience the atmosphere for the first time. it was really overwhelming, especially when the liverpool bar is juz next to the man u bar.. the supporters are competing among themselves while the clubs are battling on the field. but to our disappointment, man u lost.. v poor defending i would say.. wat happened to vidic.. red card again! but nvm! man u is still gonna win the overall championship. "glory glory man united..... as the reds go marching hoi hoi hoi!"
recently been having poor quality sleep. every night there will be weird dreams tt are terrifying. i wld wake up to be relieved tt everything was juz a dream. wed night i even woke up every hour from 3am to 6am. cldnt even sleep for consecutive hours. nt sure wat is wrong. maybe i'm abit affected by the passing away of a really good friend's gmom. it brought back memories of my gmom and how disappointed and angry i m with the spore doctors. dun they even know how to make the right diagnosis after so many scans and tests. when everything was discovered back in taiwan, it was too little too late. a life cld have been saved right here right then if they were more careful in their diagnosis. all i can say is doctors here are too protected by the law. tt might be an influencing factor why i dunwan to be juz a doctor, i want to be a competent one. if i cant reach the standards, then i rather not be one. hey girl, if u are reading this, hope u are doing fine and be strong k. ur mum needs u and u still have us.

today is the start of our self-declared recess week. lol. coz our teacher for the next tcm module is not in spore yet. his flight was postponed or sthing. he will only be here next week. so 赵老师 is taking over for this week before she flies back to china on sat.
finally it's freedom day after all the exams and quizes. i love the feeling.
温病 exam was tough. mcqs were the trickiest i think. but i felt kinda happy after the exam. nt tt i thought i have done well, but i was happy tt i could analyse the 病案 que, bcoz to me, tts the most practical part of any module. afterall, the aim of doctors is to diagnose patients accurately and cure them. a nice end to a module tt i really enjoyed.
viro quiz today was easy. quite surprising coz i only spent less than a day studying for it. quite a feat! happy.
so many happy moments recently.. kbox with bms peeps after our tcm exam. man utd winning carling cup! totally worth my sleeping time last night staying up to watch. movies today after our viro quiz, though it's a sad movie. i really cried during the show, think it's the first time i cried in cinemas. the most i did last time was tear. catch "marley and me" if u love dogs!
but amidst all these, a really saddening thing happened in NTU today. a final yr EEE student stabbed his fyp prof and committed suicide after tt (slit his wrist and jumped off a building). the prof is in stable conditions now but the student was pronounced dead on the spot. when i heard it, it really sent shivers down my spine, had goosebumps and all. cant believe tt such a thing act happened so near me. it's a pity how life is treated so lightly. all these because of a fyp? is it even worth it? haiz. treasure life ppl.
my mum suddenly asked me ystd if i am really keen on going china. hmmmz... it remains a doubtful ans.
